Help & FQA'S
What Let’s Excavate Is
Let’s Excavate is a one-on-one and group support experience that uses the metaphor of excavation to help you “dig” into your story, beliefs, and patterns so you can make aligned, practical changes. It is designed for seasons of transition, hidden grief, identity shifts, and leadership pressure, especially for people serving in churches, ministries, and service-based work.
How the Process Helps You
The Let’s Excavate process is structured to move you from “foggy and stuck” to “clear and intentional,” using conversation, reflection, and practical planning.
Each interaction is designed to be gentle but direct, honoring your story while also challenging unhelpful patterns that keep you small or silent.
What Happens In a Session
A standard Let’s Excavàte consultation with Alfred U. Green is a focused, 1:1 session that blends deep listening, coaching-style questions, and practical strategy. You are guided through a structured conversation that keeps you safe, heard, and moving toward action, not just venting.
Who Let’s Excavàte Is For
Let’s Excavàte is especially for people who feel called to lead or serve others but are navigating internal transitions, loss, or hidden questions about who they are now. It is also for those who sense they have outgrown old versions of themselves and are ready to redesign how they show up—in voice, style, and leadership.
What You Receive
Each Let’s Excavàte experience is customized, but you can expect a mix of emotional, spiritual, and practical support. The goal is that you leave not only encouraged but also equipped with language, structure, and next steps.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What does “Let’s Excavàte” actually mean?
“Let’s Excavàte” is an invitation to go beneath the surface of your life with courage and compassion, instead of just rearranging what’s visible. It uses the picture of excavation—carefully digging below ground level—to uncover what is buried, remove what no longer serves you, and make room for something stronger and more aligned to be built.
Is this therapy or counseling?
No. Let’s Excavàte is not therapy or licensed mental health counseling. It is a faith-centered, coaching-style experience focused on clarity, narrative work, mindset, leadership, lifestyle, and practical next steps.
If you are currently in therapy, Let’s Excavàte can complement that work by helping you apply emotional and spiritual insights to daily decisions, leadership, and self-presentation. For severe mental health concerns or crises, a licensed mental health professional or emergency services are the appropriate support.
Do I need to be Christian?
Let’s Excavàte is rooted in a Christian worldview, language, and values, including themes of identity in Christ, redemption, and restoration. Prayer and Scripture can be included in sessions if you are comfortable, and spiritual language is often used when reframing your story and identity.
People who share or are open to that faith lens typically benefit the most, but you will always be honored, not pressured.
What happens after my first session?
After your first Standard Consultation, you will leave with at least one clear focus area and a short list of action steps for the next 30–60 days. You may also receive prompts or reflection questions to continue your “excavation” between sessions.
From there, you can:
• Schedule additional one-on-one sessions.
• Explore workshops or group experiences like “Healing Through Fashion” or “Let’s Excavàte” intensives when available.
How long is a session?
A Standard Consultation session typically runs between 60 and 90 minutes, depending on the container you choose and what you’re working through. Session length is communicated before you book so you can plan your schedule.
How do I prepare for a session?
You do not need to have everything figured out before you come. However, to get the most from your time:
• Set aside a quiet, private space with minimal distractions.
• Bring a journal or digital notes.
• Reflect briefly on these questions:
• Where do I feel “in between” or “not myself” right now?
• What do I want to feel or experience on the other side of this season?
Is this only for men?
No. Let’s Excavàte is for anyone navigating identity, healing, and leadership transitions who desires a faith-centered, compassionate, yet honest space. Many experiences are especially resonant for women and femme leaders, but men are welcome as well, particularly those in ministry, creative, and service-based roles. From there, you can:
• Schedule additional one-on-one sessions.
• Explore workshops or group experiences like “Healing Through Fashion” or “Let’s Excavàte” intensives when available.
What is your approach to fashion and healing?
Fashion and style are treated as tools, not idols. The process explores how you clothe yourself as part of your healing—rebuilding image, dignity, and presence in alignment with how God sees you, not how trauma defined you.
This can include:
• Identifying pieces that feel like “old you” versus “healed you.”
• Exploring color, fit, and silhouettes that support your sense of safety, confidence, and authenticity.
• Connecting wardrobe shifts to deeper emotional and spiritual shifts
How do I book a Let’s Excavàte session?
You can book online through the scheduling link provided on the Let’s Excavàte or Alfred U. Green consultation page. You will select your session type, choose an available time, and complete a brief intake form so your session can be tailored to your needs.
Confirmation details and any preparation notes are sent to you by email after booking.
What is your cancellation or reschedule policy?
Details may vary by offer, but generally:
• Cancellations or reschedules must be made within a stated time window (for example, 24–48 hours) to keep your payment or apply it to a new date.
• Late cancellations or no-shows are often non-refundable because a time slot and preparation were held specifically for you. • Schedule additional one-on-one sessions.
• Explore workshops or group experiences like “Healing Through Fashion” or “Let’s Excavàte” intensives when available.Full policy language will be clearly shared on the booking page and in your confirmation email.
What if I don’t know how to explain what I’m going through?
You are not required to come with perfect words. Many people arrive saying, “I just know something is off,” or “I don’t feel like myself anymore,” and that is enough to begin.
The Let’s Excavàte process is designed to help you find language for what you’ve been carrying, so you can name it, face it, and move through it with support. This can include:
• Identifying pieces that feel like “old you” versus “healed you.”
• Exploring color, fit, and silhouettes that support your sense of safety, confidence, and authenticity.
• Connecting wardrobe shifts to deeper emotional and spiritual shifts
Can I work with you long-term?
Yes, depending on availability and fit, ongoing containers beyond a single session may be offered, such as multi-session packages or season-based intensives. These longer journeys allow for deeper excavation, integration, and support as you move through layered transitions.Confirmation details and any preparation notes are sent to you by email after booking.
